Some cases don’t stay closed.
Others were never properly opened to begin with.

These are the ones that don’t age well. The explanations that sounded reasonable at the time. The conclusions everyone agreed on a little too quickly.

I don’t collect them for entertainment. I keep them because patterns show up eventually, whether anyone’s looking for them or not.

Details get missed. Evidence gets minimized. Someone always insists it was nothing.

It usually isn’t.
